Game of the Year
Portal 2 was a game that it is very very hard to find any flaws in it. The writing is some of the best I ever experienced and the characters are funny and just plain awesome. I was surprised to see how well of a story Portal could have. I mean the first one was great but it has nothing on the second one. With many twists and turns it is one of the best told stories this year. As for the puzzles, they will kick your butt big time, but once you figure them out you feel so proud of yourself. Maybe even enough to slap yourself on the back (if possible). If you haven't played this yet, I would highly recommend this to anyone.
There were plenty of great nominees this year. I for one believe this has been the best year for video games, so these awards I just did were very very tough for me. I been changing them left and right but I had to just settle for what I choice. But I am very happy overall with gaming this year. Congrats to all the gaming companies for doing what you do. Now just need to hype up the games coming in 2012!.
Most Anticipated
My two main choices were ME3 and Bioshock Infinite. I am very excited for most the games I know of for 2012 Kingdom Hearts for the 3DS being one of my top. But of course I can only go with mine and I can't deny that I CANNOT wait for Mass Effect 3. The second one totally blew me away, it was so well written and was just so epic (best word I can use to describe it). I am very anxious to see how the story plays out. And can't wait to see some of my favorite characters again. (1 of the very few games I like basically every character). If you never got into the series, I would look up prices right now if I were you. You will not be sorry. The first is a little more on the RPG, while the second is more on the shooter side. To be honest I loved both but the 2nd is my favorite. I have very high hype for this game, hopefully it won't let me down.
